Multicultural Mentoring Programs Certificate in Multicultural Mentoring Programs The UF Office of the Provost, the UF Office of the Chief Diversity Officer, and the International Mentoring Association, in consultation with the Clinical and Translational Science Institute Mentor Academy, are pleased to offer this three-part series that will provide UF faculty and staff tools for effective multicultural mentoring. Participants who take all three sessions will earn a certificate in multicultural mentoring. November 13, 2020 - 9:30 to 11:30 AM - Via ZoomSession OneLisa Fain, co-author of the book, Bridging Differences for Better Mentoring (2020), and CEO of the Center for Mentoring Excellence, will provide practical tips for cross-cultural mentoring. Sessions 2 and 3 will be offered in 2021 “When we understand how to bridge differences, our mentoring relationships are better, our outcomes are better, and our organizations benefit from the differences between us” — Fain & Zachary, 2020, p.2 Lisa Fain is the CEO of the Center for Mentoring Excellence and the founder of Vista Coaching. She was formerly senior director of the diversity and inclusion function at Outerwall Inc. (former parent company to automated retail giants Redbox and Coinstar). She is a certified mediator through Chicago's Center for Conflict Resolution, and a certified life coach through the International Coach Academy.
