Projects & Initiatives Aging with Pain Focus Group The Aging and Integrative Pain Assessment and Management Initiative (AI-PAMI) is seeking participants for a virtual focus group to help inform an upcoming Aging with Pain workshop series. All of Us All of Us is part of the precision medicine initiative. It will gather information from many people to help researchers learn how to fit the right treatments to the right people. JAX-ASCENT Registry The JAX-ASCENT Registry is a registry of adults 60 and older who are interested in participating in local research studies. ACTIV-6 The purpose of the ACTIV-6 research study is to test medications that are already approved for other diseases to see if they can help people with mild to moderate COVID-19 feel better faster and stay out of the hospital. Junior Scholars JAX-ASCENT is pleased to offer a Junior Scholar grant to clinical and basic science researchers who are junior faculty or postdoctoral associates at the University of Florida. Mobility, Aging, Pain and Disparities (MAPD) Study This study's goal is to identify factors that improve the health and well-being of older Black and White men. Pain Research Registry We are creating a registry to build and maintain a list of participants who wish to be contacted about future pain-related research studies. PREVENTABLE The purpose of the PREVENTABLE research study is to learn if taking a statin could help older adults live well for longer by preventing dementia, disability, or heart disease. Prospective Colorectal Cancer Screening Study Exact Sciences is sponsoring a new clinical study for colorectal cancer (CRC) screening. People aged 55 or older are welcome to enroll. There is no cost to participate and compensation for time and effort on the study is available.
