The University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville also sports a range of educational programs that complement their residency and fellowship programs. These include continuing medical education, educational development and research, faculty development and simulation education.

Continuing Medical Education

For our faculty physicians, the college offers continuing medical education programs to keep them abreast of the latest developments in medical science.

Faculty Development

An ongoing faculty development program designed to enhance the expertise and skills of the UF College of Medicine – Jacksonville faculty is available. Seminars and workshops, as well as presentations at division and department meetings and peer review of teaching are available to faculty.

Simulation Education

The UF Center for Simulation Education and Safety Research (CSESaR) offers education through simulation and goal-directed training to promote quality patient care, expand patient safety initiatives and enhance multidisciplinary health care.

Quality Improvement and Patient Safety (QIPS) Initiative

Faculty of trainees are expected to have training in quality improvement and patient safety to demonstrate delivery of safe, quality, cost-effective, patient-centered care and by modeling practice-based analysis to improve quality of care and patient safety.
