Academic Media Room at the UF College of Medicine – Jacksonville

The University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville’s Academic Media Room offers video production services for faculty, staff, trainees and students on the Jacksonville campus.

The studio features a variety of video recording methods and a team of multimedia specialists to assist throughout the entire process. The room and services support the college’s mission to heal, to comfort, to educate and to discover through quality health care, elimination of health disparities, medical education, innovation and research.

The Academic Media Room is modeled after the University of Florida’s Academic Media Production room through UFIT’s Center for Instruction Technology and Training and similarly, strives to meet the needs of faculty, trainees, and staff using technology that is in alignment with the goals of the University of Florida, the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville and its hospital systems.

About the Video Studio

The Academic Media Room’s video studio is designed for comfort and ease of use. There are a variety of film setups ranging from a green screen, “coffee-talk” with chairs and table for interviews or discussions, multi-camera demonstrations, interviews, and voice recordings. Staff can assist in determining the right recording format for content, and facilitate production to deliver a polished end result. Several recording methods and technology tools are available to create curriculum/didactic content, educate the public or colleagues within the health system or for national presentations.
