Educational Affairs

The Office of Educational Affairs (OEA) is responsible for the management and oversight of graduate medical education at the UF College of Medicine – Jacksonville. The office also provides a faculty development program designed to enhance the expertise and skills of the UF College of Medicine – Jacksonville faculty.

The Senior Associate Dean for Educational Affairs serves as the Designated Institutional Official (DIO), working closely with the Graduate Medical Education Committee, to ensure compliance with the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accreditation essentials of residencies and fellowships.

The OEA also manages the human resource and payroll functions for residents and fellows, in addition to providing assistance to the individual residency and fellowship programs. Program-specific questions should be directed to the appropriate residency/fellowship program.
