CDQ-Education

Thank you for your interest in our employee classes. The CDQ Education Department offers several courses to employees. The courses currently offered are:

  • Medical Terminology (16-18 sessions)
  • Anatomy for Coding (20-22 sessions)
  • Business of Healthcare (5-7 sessions)
  • ICD-10-CM Coding (8-10 sessions)
  • CPT Coding (22-28 sessions)

Students who successfully complete all of the above courses may then choose to take the certified professional coder (CPC) review class (8-10 sessions), if they wish to become certified in physician-based (professional fee) coding. Students may then choose to sit for the CPC exam that is given by the AAPC in order to become a certified professional coder.

If you've already taken one or more of the courses at an accredited institution and can provide proof of attendance with a passing score of 80 (B) or higher, you may qualify to be exempt from those courses. The education department will review your transcript and advise you if you qualify for exemption.

Please note: Classes are currently only offered and available on the Jacksonville campus.
