Any employee of the University of Florida or UF Health Jacksonville can register for a number of classes instructed by CDQ education specialists that will enhance their healthcare business knowledge. Classes are taught in a friendly and professional setting that is beneficial to providing the tools and resources necessary to assist employees in improving their job performance and allowing for promotion potential.

With an emphasis on medical coding, our knowledgeable specialists prepare students to take the certified professional coder (CPC) examination through the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC). Seminars, workshops, individual training sessions and on-site support are also offered year round by the CDQ education department.

Professional Medical Coding

The CDQ education department is committed to preparing students to become a certified professional coder (CPC) through the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC). Several classes are offered that will expand an employee’s coding knowledge, improve one’s medical terminology, develop basic anatomy skills and progress the comprehension of cumulative guidelines and processes necessary to successfully pass the CPC examination.

Workshops and Seminars

Workshops and seminars on key coding topics are periodically offered to address timely issues or special requests. Announcements and invitations to workshops and seminars will be made as new offerings are scheduled.

Training and education support is available to students, coders and medical staff throughout the year. CDQ education specialists offer training through a variety of options: seminars, workshops, individual sessions and on-site support. We provide the information and resources necessary for employees to successfully complete their daily job responsibilities. Our education specialists ensure quality education is provided by teaching fundamentals, assigning practical exercises, providing hands-on training and incorporating extensive dialogue into each training course.
