UF JAX Hernia Outcomes Data Bank

Study Description

A longitudinal, prospective cohort of patients being evaluated for hernia surgery at UF Health Jacksonville to study factors that impact surgical outcomes and quality of life in this population. This provides a better understanding of the specific factors that are associated with surgical outcomes measures as well as quality of life following hernia surgery. 

Inclusion/Exclusion Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  1. Age ≥ 18 years
  2. work up for hernia surgery at UF Health Jacksonville by a Surgeon in the Division of General Surgery
  3. Speaks English or Spanish

Exclusion Criteria 

  1. Age < 18 years
  2. Emergent hernia repairs
  3. Vulnerable populations ( i.e. incarcerated)
  4. Unwilling or Unable to provide consent
