Clinical Research Details Clinical Research E3: Examining the personal External Exposome among children with asthma Study Description To assess the feasibility and usability of using silicone wristbands and smart phone application monitoring (ecological monitoring assessment – EMA) to measure the external environment’s affects on asthma symptoms in children. Inclusion/Exclusion Criteria Inclusion: 10-17 years Prior diagnosis of asthma or ED physician confirms patient has asthma, with unrelated complaints for this ED visit. Legal guardian present for consent for patients ages 10-17 years. Assent required for patients aged 10-17. Will be discharged from ED per treating physician Exclusion Criteria: Cystic fibrosis or bronchopulmonary dysplasia or other underlying chronic lung disease (including baseline oxygen requirement). In law enforcement custody. Known pregnancy.
