UF Anchor Plaza moves, becomes UF Blanding Family Medicine and Pediatric Center

UF Blanding Family Medicine and Pediatric Center

On Jan. 2, 2013, University of Florida Anchor Plaza Family Medicine and Pediatric Center relocated to a new facility about a mile south of its former location on Jacksonville's Westside.

Renamed UF Blanding Family Medicine and Pediatric Center, the practice is now located at 6015 118th St. in Jacksonville. In addition to offering primary care services, the facility will house an outreach lab affiliated with the UF Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, offering patients the convenience of having samples drawn on-site.

Subashini Anand, M.D., a UF assistant professor of family medicine and medical director of the practice, said moving from the Anchor Plaza strip mall to an inviting, stand-alone facility is a great benefit for patients.

"Our patients like the new building—it's much more easily accessible," said Anand. "We continue to offer both pediatric and family medicine services at a single, convenient location and now have the added benefit of a lab in the same facility."

The providers, telephone and fax numbers for the center are unchanged. For appointments, call 904-633-0610. For more information on UF&Shands Jacksonville primary care centers, visit http://ufjaxprimarycare.org/.
