UF, UFJHI and UFJPI employees receive service recognition

Nancy Melvin from the division of neonatology in the department of pediatrics celebrates 35 years of service.

On June 16, 2011 University of Florida, UF Jacksonville Healthcare, Inc. and UF Jacksonville Physicians, Inc., honored 244 employees who, through their dedication and commitment, have made significant contributions to the organization, patients and other employees.

"All of our award winners have contributed significantly to the success of the University of Florida, UF Jacksonville Healthcare, Inc. and UF Jacksonville Physicians, Inc.", said Robert C. Nuss, M.D., associate vice president for health affairs and dean of the regional campus, Jacksonville.

The following employees were presented long term service awards by Dr. Nuss:

Guy I. Benrubi, M.D., senior associate dean for clinical affairs and chair of the department of obstetrics and gynecology presented 195 service awards for 5, 10 and 15 years of service.

Nancy Frashuer, CEO of UFJPI and senior vice president/CFO of UFJHI, recognized 31 employees for special educational and professional achievements.

In honor of 39 years of service, special recognition was bestowed upon Robert C. Nuss, M.D. for being the guiding light in the campus mission to educate, to discover, to comfort and to heal throughout his years of service.

A reception was held in the LRC atrium immediately following the recognition program.
