Dr. Morrissey receives ACEP's faculty teaching award

Thomas K. Morrissey, M.D., Ph.D., assistant professor in the department of emergency medicine, and assistant program director for the emergency medicine residency program at the University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville was selected for the 2010 American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) Faculty Teaching Award.

Dr. Morrissey was among ten presented with the national award on October 1, 2010 at the ACEP's annual Scientific Assembly meeting in Las Vegas, Nev. The award recognizes superior teaching activities, including didactic lectures, clinical instruction, the development of innovative education programs, as well as endorsements by faculty, residents and students.

The American College of Emergency Physicians promotes quality of emergency care and is the leading advocate for emergency physicians, their patients, and the public.
