Computer Access/Dorm

Three computers and one printer have been installed in the study hall of the student dormitory for use by all students. From here, students can access Email, Internet, Borland Library for Medline searches and Word for composing memos, documents, etc.

DO NOT TRY TO PERSONALLY REPAIR, REPROGRAM OR IN ANY OTHER WAY ALTER THE HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE OF THESE COMPUTERS.

"Enter Login Name" appears when the PC is first turned on. Please refer to your login and password issued via email at the beginning of the academic year. If you need your login ID or password reset please call the IT Helpdesk at (904) 244-7828 (ext. 47828). You will need this information in order to log on to any computer on this campus.

Wireless Instructions

Eduroam is the official wireless network provider for UF Health, offering secure, reliable Wi-Fi access across all UF Health facilities. Available to faculty, staff, and students, eduroam allows you to seamlessly connect using your UF or UF Health credentials on your personal devices.

To connect your mobile device:

  1. Open the Settings app on your device.
  2. Click Wi-Fi.
  3. Click eduroam.
  4. Enter your username. For UF, your username is your GatorLink id followed by @ufl.edu. Note: Do not use a department email address.
  5. Enter your password. For UF, your password is your GatorLink password.
  6. Click Join (for iPhone) or Connect (for Android).
    • For Android, you may need to select Don’t Validate under CA Certificate. Some Android devices may also require you to set the Metered option to Unmetered.
    • For iPhone, you may need to click Trust after clicking Join.

To connect your personal laptop:

  1. Click the wi-fi icon in your menu bar.
  2. Click eduroam.
  3. Enter your username. For UF, your username is your GatorLink id followed by @ufl.edu. Note: Do not use a department email address.
  4. Enter your password. For UF, your password is your GatorLink password.
  5. Click Join (for Mac) or Connect (for Windows).

For visiting students:

  • When viewing wireless networks available in the area on your device, select the network called “ufhealthguest”. Note: this is a public network.
  • You will be presented with an Acceptable Use Policy – read through it, and then click “Accept AUP and Connect.”
