Current Recipient: Mark L. Hudak, M.D.

This professorship will advance professional education and training in pediatric palliative care and integrative medicine through collaboration between Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, Community PedsCare and the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville.

The academic-community partnership, secured through this professorship, has served as a national model to inform other communities as they mobilize to develop pediatric palliative care programs, and as this discipline has become a boarded pediatric subspecialty.

The generous support of our community has distinguished this region as among the few with the resources necessary to provide comprehensive palliative care to chronically ill children and their families. This professorship will enable us to continue to improve and expand our care for children and families.
