Ruchira Singh, MD, FACOG, an associate professor at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville and chief of the division of urogynecology and reconstructive pelvic surgery, was selected as the recipient of the 2025 Faculty Enhancement Opportunity, or FEO Award.
Singh will participate in Harvard Medical School's Health Care Transformation Course beginning in August.
“This course offers a comprehensive understanding of digital transformation and AI in health care,” said Singh. “I am particularly excited to explore areas such as digital strategy and its use in diagnostics, treatment planning, and decision support systems. With technology playing an increasingly vital role in medicine, I believe this program will deepen my ability to integrate AI into clinical practice, enhance patient care, and contribute meaningfully to health care innovation within my institution.”
Madeline Joseph, MD, associate dean for faculty advancement and engagement, notes that this is a significant achievement with faculty members across the university vying for this award.
“This is a very competitive award granted by the University of Florida’s Provost's Office, said Madeline Joseph, MD, associate dean for faculty advancement and engagement. “FEO supports faculty’s new direction for scholarly work and for creative and flexible faculty development activities, including, but not limited to: educational experiences and conferences, work with consultants and experts, in addition to devoted time to intensive writing or creative work.”
