Developed to provide the infrastructure and personnel necessary to collect, process, store, and distribute human biological specimens and associated data for future use in research, the center was established in response to the growing needs of UF Health Jacksonville investigators to bank and store specimens and their data for both investigator-initiated and sponsor-initiated clinical studies.

The UF Center for Data Solutions supports investigators in conducting innovative and transformative health science research. The center's hubs of advanced analytics, epidemiology and biostatistics support research projects in all phases, from study design through analysis and dissemination to improve patient outcomes.

The Center for Health Equity and Engagement Research is a central hub for research and community engagement activities that focus on improving equity, especially among underserved populations. It provides access to resources and expertise that foster research and education efforts to empower residents, clinicians, organizations and communities.

The Center for Research Training provides comprehensive training in clinical and translational research to UF College of Medicine – Jacksonville faculty, trainees and students. The center's mission is to develop the next generation of highly collaborative clinical researchers who will advance the science of medicine and transform healthcare.

The Institutional Review Board's primary mission is to protect the rights and welfare of participants in human research studies (research subjects). The IRB reviews research before it is started and most research while it is being conducted, to assess if the research meets appropriate ethical, federal, state and local requirements/guidelines.

The Jacksonville Aging Studies Center, or IPA, was created to provide an integrative physical and intellectual environment in which trainees at all levels and scientists from diverse disciplines can interact and conduct clinical and behavioral translational research on aging and independence of older adults.

Jacksonville Health Equity Research, or JaxHERO, provides the foundation for translational and evidence-based research focused on studying and reducing health disparities while building on institutional commitments to the underserved population. The organization's mission is to conduct community-based research to improve the quality of care and promote health equity for people living in Northeast Florida.
