SHAHLA MASOOD, M.D., a professor and associate chair of pathology at the College of Medicine-Jacksonville, received a Florida Times-Union EVE Award in recognition of her commitment to breast cancer research and contributions to professional and patient education.

EVE Awards honor the accomplishments of women in three categories — education, volunteer services and employment — in the previous year. In 2006 Masood began her second decade as founder and director of the internationally acclaimed Multidisciplinary Symposium on Breast Disease and as founder and editor of The Breast Journal.
