San Jose Boulevard office to open on Feb. 10, 2020
UF Health Psychiatry – Dupont Station is changing its name and moving to become UF Health Psychiatry – San Jose on Monday, Feb. 10. The move comes after eight years of providing care at Dupont Station Court. The new location on San Jose Blvd. offers nearly 5,000 square feet of practice space, which serves primarily child and adolescent patients.
The larger space creates room to grow and increases the capacity for providing psychiatric and psychological evaluations for conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, depression and bipolar disorder. The facility will offer individual and family psychotherapy sessions. The practice also plans to increase the number of providers at the location, which currently employs three psychiatrists, one psychologist, three therapists, an advanced practice registered nurse and a physician assistant.
“It is our goal to continue expanding mental health services within our community,” said Elise M. Fallucco, MD, division chief of child and adolescent psychiatry at UF Health Jacksonville. “With all of the stress facing children and adolescents today, it is not surprising to see an increase in the number of mental health problems. Our practice is looking forward to being able to help youth and their families heal and recover.”
Additionally, larger rooms at the practice will improve the capacity for dialectical behavioral therapy, or DBT, an evidence-based treatment focused on teaching individuals how to control mood and impulses, deal with stress and manage relationships. Both psychologist Allison Ventura, PhD, and psychiatric nurse Deanna Seymour, APRN, DNP, are intensively trained DBT providers for youth and offer DBT individual therapy and skills group sessions.
“Our team looks forward to better serving current patients and welcoming new patients to UF Health Psychiatry – San Jose,” Fallucco said. “We are committed to helping our patients make positive changes and lead fulfilling lives.”
UF Health Psychiatry – San Jose is located at 8789 San Jose Blvd., Suite 305, in Jacksonville, Florida, and will be open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. starting Feb. 10.
