Jacksonville, Fla. - The Learning Channel's documentary television series, Maternity Ward, is set to begin airing four episodes filmed at Shands Jacksonville. A crew for the popular labor and delivery program shot the episodes earlier this year. Each one-hour show features University of Florida physicians and medical staff at Shands Jacksonville caring for patients from the simplest cases to the most high-risk.
Here's a list of the shows scheduled to air this fall.
- October 13: "In A Family Way" - This episode features Saj Joy, MD, Mitzi C. Brock, MD, and Cindy Smith, RN
- October 20: "Déjà Vu" - This episode features Meridith Farrow, MD, John Baten, MD, and Rebekah Richmond, MD
- November 24: "Beating The Odds" - This episode features John Huddleston, MD, Toby Marshall, MD, and Kim Loar, MD
- December 1: "Roller Coaster" - This episode features Felicia Olivier, MD, Jerthitia Taylor, MD, and Semaj Badger-McLendon, RN
All episodes will air on Monday nights at 10 p.m. on TLC.

Viewers meet the real people who put their minds and energy into saving lives of mothers and infants in situations where every second counts, as well as witness the struggles and joys associated with less traumatic births.
