Learning Objectives

Upon completion of the presentation, participants will be able to:

1. Identify presenting symptoms of sports-related concussions (SRC)
2. Understand the latest American Academy of Neurology (AAN) guidelines regarding staging and diagnosis
3. Discuss the utility of current concussion assessment tools and the need for advanced imaging
4. Review the current and emerging treatment options
5. Understand the criteria to clear an athlete and "Return to Play" protocols
6. Review updates on disease-related complications and consequences (i.e. post-concussion syndrome, athletic disqualification, CTE)
