Learning Objectives
Upon completion of the presentation, participants will be able to:
1. Discuss the new leadership roles that the PGY2s must step into on July 1.
2. Define our roles as mentoring faculty to ensure a successful transition into the PGY2 leadership role.
3. Propose best practices for communicating to residents that they are valued through recognition of their hard work and their dedication to excellence.
4. Describe resources available and useful strategies to assess how the PGY2s are doing in their new roles
5. Recognize the intrinsic and extrinsic factors that impact well-being and recommend strategies for optimizing success
