Learning Objectives
Upon completion of the presentation, participants will be able to:
1. Define Primary Biliary Cirrhosis (PBC) and Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC).
2. Distinguish the pathogenesis and varying presentations of PBC and PSC.
3. Identify the approach to diagnosis and treatment of PBC and PSC.
4. Summarize the role of genetic predisposition, environmental triggers, and molecular mimicry in pathogenesis of autoimmune liver diseases.
5. Recognize the similarities and differences between primary sclerosing cholangitis and primary biliary cirrhosis.
