At the conclusion of this session, the participant should be able to:
1. Review recommended criteria for genetic testing in pediatric patients with obesity.
2. Describe clinical features of leptin pathway and syndromic obesity conditions.
3. Select appropriate genetic testing methods for early onset obesity.
4. Identify targeted therapies for leptin pathway defects.
5. Recognize the role of genetic and epigenetics in population variance in obesity risk.
