Upon completion of the presentation, participants will be able to:

1. To highlight the: indications for renal biopsy in SLE
2. Evolution of the classification of lupus nephritis (LN
3. Histologic keys of different classes of LN
4. Histological overlap with other glomerulonephritis/glomerulopathy (GN/GP)
5. Helpful clues for distinction of LN from other GN/NP
6. Prognostic value of LN classes
7. Histologic predictors of poor clinical outcome
8. Pathogenic mechanisms correlation with different classes and clinical presentation
