Learning Objectives
Upon completion of the presentation, participants will be able to:
1. Recall indications for the use of naloxone in the overdose setting.
2. Describe the proposed pathophysiology of naloxone-associated pulmonary edema.
3. Analyze current literature regarding naloxone-associated pulmonary edema.
4. Determine strategies for decreasing the risk of naloxone-associated pulmonary edema.
Identify patient populations at higher risk of developing naloxone-associated pulmonary edema.
