Learning Objectives

Upon completion of the presentation, participants will be able to:

1. Describe the pathophysiology and Rome diagnostic classification of irritable bowel syndrome subgroups, and an evidence-based approach to management.
2. Summarize the diagnostic criteria and evaluation of functional dyspepsia, as well as identify available treatment modalities.
3. Recognize the importance for improving care coordination amongst interprofessional teams to enhance the care for patients with IBS/Functional Dyspepsia.
