Learning Objectives

Upon completion of the presentation, participants will be able to:

1. Describe the epidemiology of HIV.
2. Briefly explain the pathogenesis of HIV.
3. Apply the knowledge of HIV testing in the context of PrEP (Pre-exposure prophylaxis).
4. Compare and contrast the available PrEP options.
5. Recognize the role of novel longer acting injectable medication s in PrEP and HIV treatment.
