At the conclusion of this session, the participant should be able to:
1. Discuss the wide prevalence of Intimate Partner Violence (IPV).
2. Recite the four fatal outcomes of unremitting IPV.
3. Develop a cogent clinical response to common IPV minor injuries that abides by Florida Laws.
4. Summarize "safety planning," rather than divorce or relationship termination recommendations.
5. Discuss the local phone number for reaching IPV advocates for patient consultation 800-500-1119.
