Upon completion of the presentation, participants will be able to:

1. Review the health effects of dietary risks and discuss the rationale for the USDA Dietary Guidelines for Americans.
2. Define the role and consequences of low carbohydrate diets.
3. Explore various feeding schedules to achieve the favorable effects of caloric restriction.
