Carolina Stefany Paredes Molina, MD, is from Quito, Ecuador, and arrived in the U.S. as an exchange student in 2005. She earned her medical degree at the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed her family medicine residency at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine.
While attending the University of Kansas School of Medicine, Dr. Paredes served as co-director of diabetes at the school’s JayDoc, a student-run free clinic, and was secretary of the Latino Medical Student Association. She also authored and co-authored articles that appear in academic and medical publications.
Her philosophy of care is to treat patients as if they were a family member. Dr. Paredes sees newborns to adult patients, and has a special clinical interest in treating obesity.
She looks forward to continuing her mission of working with underserved and underrepresented populations, especially Spanish-speaking patients. She believes it is imperative to serve these communities while building leadership.
During her free time, Dr. Paredes enjoys the company of her parents, siblings and four beautiful nephews. She loves spending time at the gym and prepares every year for the Gate River Run.
Dr. Paredes speaks English and Spanish.
