Daryoush Tavanaiepour, MD, is an associate professor and chair of the Department of Neurosurgery at University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville, and medical director of the neuro-oncology and movement disorders programs.
Dr. Tavanaiepour leads a state-of-the-art department, featuring fellowship-trained and board certified faculty, who provide comprehensive services for the diagnosis, management, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with diseases of the brain, spinal cord and nervous system. This includes brain tumors, aneurysms, epilepsy, movement disorders and spinal disease and injury.
He serves as medical director of the UF Health Jacksonville Skull Base Center, a multidisciplinary program to treat patients with brain tumors. The Center is ranked in the top 10% nationally for cranial neurosurgery patient outcomes, according to Healthgrades. Dr. Tavanaiepour leads the skull base team and also provides personalized care and treatment of brain and skull base tumors, deep brain stimulation and general neurological surgery.
