Learning Objectives
Upon completion of the presentation, participants will be able to:
Evaluate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and symptoms in order to detect meniscus tears.
Discuss meniscus treatment options for a variety of meniscus tear patterns and locations.
Order MRIs for all patients with knee effusion to evaluate for meniscus, cartilage, or ligamentous injury.

Nemours Children’s Health has been authorized by the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for a maximum of 1.0 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. Physician Associates should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.
Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 1 MOC points in the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program; and 1 MOC points in the American Board of Surgery’s (ABS) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program (*Surgeons do not have to complete the evaluation in order to receive MOC credit). It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABP or ABS MOC credit.
