Andrew Shannon, M.D., M.P.H., is fellowship-trained in emergency ultrasound and has clinical interests in graduate medical education, international emergency medicine and public health, as well as wilderness and austere medicine. He received his M.D. and M.P.H. from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, trained at the Albert Einstein Jacobi/Montefiore combined emergency medicine residency program, and completed ultrasound fellowship at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. He previously served as co-director of emergency ultrasound at Jacobi Medical Center’s Department of Emergency Medicine. He has facilitated workshops on emergency medicine ultrasound and procedures both nationally and internationally. He has twice-attended San Diego’s Comic-Con and tweets sporadically at @AShannonMD.
