Learning Objectives
Upon completion of the presentation, participants will be able to:
1. Review the current epidemiology of hepatitis C virus infection (HCV).
2. Discuss the HCV elimination agenda and current progress.
3. Summarize new AASLD/IDSA practice guidelines for HCV.
4. Recognize which patients are eligible for the simplified HCV treatment regimen.
5. Review the risk of HCC in patients with HCV infection & the current evidence for transplant from hepatitis C positive donors.
