Learning Objectives

Upon completion of the presentation, participants will be able to:

At the conclusion of this session, the participant should be able to:
1. Identify barriers to early identification and treatment of Pediatric Stroke.
2. Differentiate findings of Acute Stroke in a child presenting sudden onset focal neurological deficit.
3. Initiate appropriate diagnostic work up of a child with a sudden focal neurological deficit.
4. Discuss acute treatment of childhood stroke.
5. Initiate the WCH code stroke pathway when indicated for child presenting with acute neurologic deficits.
