Learning Objectives

Upon completion of the presentation, participants will be able to:

1. Define his/her microsystem(s) of care.
2. Identify and facilitate resident identification of team members and their roles and contributions to the team.
3. In the context of teamwork and team-based care, describe the competencies, and significance of each.
4. Discuss expectation-setting for team interactions and effective team-based care.
5. Discuss methods to assess and provide feedback on teamwork and team leadership.
