Learning Objectives
Upon completion of the presentation, participants will be able to:
1. Identify major refugee populations resettling in Jacksonville.
2. Describe socioeconomic and health/healthcare challenges facing newly resettled refugees.
3. Identify and discuss resources for healthcare coordination for refugees and providers.
4. Discuss how to best handle communication challenges in caring for refugees (e.g., use of translator, child as agent, HIPAA and privacy when dealing with case worker, etc.)
