A year’s worth of research will take center stage May 17 for Research Day 2012 at the University of Florida Health Science Center-Jacksonville.
Fellows, residents and graduate and undergraduate students will compete for research awards. Cash prizes of up to $500 will be given for 12 projects – the top six finishers in the platform presentations and in the poster competition. Studies can only win one award.
Presentations, speakers and poster-viewing will highlight the Research Day activities, which will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. All clinics except primary care satellite clinics will be closed until 2 p.m.
Studies from the colleges of medicine, nursing and pharmacy will be represented. Faculty and post-doctorate employees are also welcome to present their research.
Participants must e-mail a completed abstract form to ora@jax.ufl.edu and submit a hard copy of an abstract by March 9. All projects must also have Institutional Review Board approval before the March 9 deadline.
For full details on deadlines and judging, see the Research Day memo from the offices of the dean and research affairs.
