Steve Goodison, Ph.D., a researcher and an associate professor in the department of surgery in the College of Medicine-Jacksonville, attended the Kimmel Scholars’ 10th anniversary symposium last month in Boca Raton.
The Sidney Kimmel Foundation for Cancer Research funds the Kimmel Scholars Program, which each year provides research grants to the nation’s most promising young cancer researchers. Goodison is among the 130 award recipients.
The symposium’s goal is to provide a venue for Kimmel Scholars to meet each other in a setting where they can talk informally, link ideas together and consider new possibilities, new collaborations and new applications of their work to the challenges of eradicating cancer.
