Shands Jacksonville hosted the Racial and Ethnic Health Disparity Advisory Committee’s two-day meeting in November.
This committee, appointed by the secretary of health in 2001, is authorized to work under the Florida Department of Health to help reduce health disparities. The advisory committee represents counties all over the state.
