Pediatrics Resident to Present Paper at Annual PAS Meeting

University of Florida Jacksonville pediatrics resident Mariam Ejaz, M.D., will present a research paper at the Pediatric Academic Societies annual meeting, May 14-17, 2005, in Washington, D.C.

Her presentation, The Jacksonville Pediatric Advocacy Network: Empowering Residents in Child Advocacy, is part of the Ambulatory Pediatric Association’s Advocacy Training Special Interest Group. The research describes how JPAN – organized and led by UF residents, with the support of UF faculty and Jacksonville child advocacy organizations – has proven effective in enhancing resident motivation, involvement and development in child advocacy.
